The Little Mermaid

The Little Mermaid

Accessible Screenings

Ariel (Halle Bailey), a free-spirited and headstrong mermaid with a perpetual curiosity about humans, falls in love with Prince Eric (Jonah Hauer-King) after rescuing him from a shipwreck. To fulfill her desire to become human, Ariel strikes a deal with evil sea witch Ursula (Melissa McCarthy) for a high price. Loosely based on Hans Christian Andersen’s story, this live-action reimagining of The Little Mermaid features the return of composer Alan Menken, who adapted his original songs, co-written with Howard Ashman, from the beloved animated classic and collaborated with lyricist Lin-Manuel Miranda to co-write three new songs.
