The Book of Life

The Book of Life

Writer-director Jorge G. Gutierrez and producer Guillermo del Toro join forces for this visually dazzling animated musical set in a Mexican town during Día de los Muertos. Diego Luna and Channing Tatum voice the roles of Manolo and Joaquin, two friends competing for the love of the same woman, Maria Posada (Zoe Saldana). Their rivalry inspires a wager between the rulers of the Land of the Remembered and the Land of the Forgotten. Two-time Oscar winner Gustavo Santaolalla (Brokeback Mountain, Babel) composed the original score and collaborated on the songs.
