Moana

Moana

Accommodative Screening

John Musker and Ron Clements, directors of such contemporary Disney classics as The Little Mermaid (1989) and Aladdin (1992), collaborated on this Oscar-nominated, computer-animated adventure based on Polynesian myths. To save her people, young Moana (voiced by newcomer Auli'i Cravalho) sets sail in search of the demigod Maui (Dwayne Johnson). The film’s memorable song score includes the nominated “How Far I’ll Go,” written by Hamilton’s Lin-Manuel Miranda, as well as songs written or co-written by Opetaia Foa'i and score composer Mark Mancina.

On the last Saturday of every month, the museum's Family Matinee is an accommodative screening where we offer open captioning, keep the theater dimly lit, and maintain a lower volume specifically for neurodivergent viewers.
