Icelandic musician and composer Hildur Guðnadóttir became the first woman to win an Oscar for Original Score for her work on Todd Phillips’s Joker. She also has an Emmy and two Grammys to her name, among numerous other awards. A trained cellist, Guðnadóttir’s classical background can be heard in the sonically foreboding sounds of Joker, a psychological thriller that is the origin story for the disturbed DC villain.
