Join museum educators as they highlight the people-focused documentary style of the late Lourdes Portillo, a remarkable documentarian, visual artist, journalist, and activist.
Part of the Significant Movies and Moviemakers gallery, Portillo’s blend of experimental and traditional modes of storytelling are featured through original objects, photography, clips, and installation pieces.
All are welcome to join these public, drop-in-style gallery highlights—free with admission—from 1pm to 3pm. Stay for a few minutes or for as long as you like with a museum educator!
