Drop-in Tours: Afrofuturistic Visions
Join museum educators for an introduction to Cyberpunk: Envisioning Possible Futures Through Cinema before venturing into the immersive double-height gallery for an unforgettable self-guided experience.
Join museum educators for an introduction to Cyberpunk: Envisioning Possible Futures Through Cinema before venturing into the immersive double-height gallery for an unforgettable self-guided experience.
Additionally, hang out in the Netflix Lounge for an interactive learning experience regarding speculative fiction and futuristic expressions in connection with cinema. Futuristic cinema showcases how groups of people can imagine their possible futures.
In celebration of Black History Month, explore the Afrofuturistic world as a movement and state of mind. Explore films from select filmmakers that envision a future by questioning the social, economic, and political spheres of their times.
A museum educator can be found on Level 2 and in the Netflix Lounge from 1–3pm.
All are welcome to join these public, drop-in-style gallery highlights—free with admission. Stay for a few minutes with a museum educator or longer!
