Colors of Romance Tours

Colors of Romance Tours

Join museum educators for 30-minute guided tours of the Color as Character gallery within the Color in Motion: Chromatic Explorations of Cinema exhibition.

Love can come unexpectedly or hold true forever. Nothing captures this more than the intense and heart-wrenching stories we see on screen.

Fall in love with costumes and designs in our Color as Character gallery, a part of our newest exhibition, Color in Motion: Chromatic Explorations of Cinema.

Color as Character highlights the craft behind and identities of several costumes and characters throughout cinema history. Explore the gallery with museum educators and discuss how Andie tries to lose a guy in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (2003), discover the intense connection between Héloïse, a young bride, and Marianne, a painter, in Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019), or witness the unwavering love and dedication of Django as he searches for his wife Broomhilda in Django Unchained (2012). No matter the story, love can be found in the most unlikely places.
