Designated hours to experience the museum in a less-sensory-stimulating setting.

Designated hours to experience the museum in a less-sensory-stimulating setting.

We invite visitors to celebrate musicals during our March Calm Morning program. ASL interpretation provided.

First, explore selected galleries in the museum’s exhibition. Next, visit the Shirley Temple Education Studio for a special sing and sign-along with Deaf West Theatre featuring songs that were nominated for and won Oscar awards.

In addition to the Calm Morning program, visitors are invited to attend our sing-along accommodative screening of Mary Poppins (1964) at 11am in the Ted Mann Theater, as part of our weekly film series. A separate admission ticket is required.

Calm Mornings create an environment for all visitors to enjoy less-sensory-stimulating spaces with moderated sound and lighting displays. Museum staff will be available to suggest areas for self-guided exploration before the museum’s opening hours. Museum educators will be available for guided Gallery Highlight experiences that are interactive and adaptable to many learning styles.
