Calm Morning: A Wrinkle in Time

Calm Morning: A Wrinkle in Time

Designated hours to experience the museum in a less-sensory-stimulating setting.

A Wrinkle in Time (2018)

We invite visitors to our Calm Mornings program on Saturday, February 24 from 9am to 1pm, to create a fantasy costume design inspired by the film A Wrinkle in Time (2018). ASL interpretation will be provided.

SCHEDULE:

9–10am | Early Gallery Access
Explore the Identity gallery, featuring costume design, makeup, and hairstyling, in our Stories of Cinema exhibition on Level 2, where sound and lighting adjustments will be made for a more sensory-friendly viewing experience.

10–11am | Family Workshop
Visit the Shirley Temple Education Studio on the museum’s Lower Level for a family fantasy costume design workshop inspired by A Wrinkle in Time (2018).

This workshop is inspired by the fantastical costumes featured in today’s accommodative screening of A Wrinkle in Time. The vibrant costumes in this film play an important role in telling the story and highlight each character’s personality. Families can create their own costume designs fit for a fantasy film.

In addition to the Calm Mornings program, we encourage visitors to attend our accommodative, open-caption screening of A Wrinkle in Time at 11am in the Ted Mann Theater. The screening is part of our weekly Family Matinees film series. A separate admission ticket is required.

The Shirley Temple Education Studio will remain open during the screening as a space for relaxation and continued art making until 1pm.

If you have any questions, or need assistance planning your visit, please email museumeducation@oscars.org.
